OBITUARY

Sandra "Sammi" Mosley

May 27, 1957June 8, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Sammi Mosley announce her passing on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the LaVerendrye General Hospital. Sammi was born on May 27, 1957 in Raton, New Mexico to Dempsey and Delayne Stromberg. She spent her childhood in Sante Fe, New Mexico before setting out to find adventure as a young woman, exploring the majority of the Midwest U.S.A. all the way up to Alaska before returning south. During a visit to Fort Frances, she then met Darrell Mosley and he convinced her to put down some roots. Shortly after they conceived their only child, Lee Craig Mosley on June 13, 1979 and were united in marriage on September 18, 1979. Sammi worked for various local businesses such as Marks Work Warehouse, Boston Pizza and Walmart and would be best remembered for her bubbly personality, a beautiful smile and a willingness to help anybody. She was a social butterfly with a heart of gold, that impacted the lives of so many. When not working, Sammi could be found in her back yard under her big maple tree, amongst friends and family telling stories. One of her favorites being the trip to Arizona she shared with Granddaughter Zoey to visit her Brother Jack and Family. Sammi enjoyed fishing, gardening, her dogs, and loved to brag about her Grandchildren. She leaves behind her husband Darrell; son Lee (Jodie); grandchildren Avery, Addison, Zoey, Thandie and Aleeyah; brother Jack (Yolanda) Stromberg; sister Barbara Walters (Bob); niece Jennifer (Alex) Daicos; mother-in-law Pat Mosley; in-laws Mike (Judy)Mosley, Randy (Jackie) Mosley and Penny (Victor) Armit and their families. Sammi was predeceased by her parents Dempsey and Delayne and father-in-law Olaf Mosley. “Those who hope in the lord, will soar on wings like eagles” Isaiah 40:30-32. Cremation has taken place and a gathering will be held once the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted. If friends so desire in memoriam donations may be made to Sunset Water Sports in helping reach their goal of having a wheelchair accessible lift for children in need. A special thanks to Mar Fraczkiewicz and Shawna McRitchie, Sunset Water Sports who plan on naming the pontoon boat “Sammi”.
