Wayne was born on August 28th, 1941 in Fort Frances, ON to Lennea Carlson and was the youngest of her two children. The oldest being his big brother Ken, whom he looked up to and loved very much.
Wayne was united in marriage to Judy (Wilson) on May 16th, 1959 and was the love of his life. For 60 plus years they shared their love for one another. Their annual trips to Mexico and Sturgis were always the highlights of the year.
Wayne was a highly skilled carpenter with a reputation for building a solid home and building it fast.
He would always pride himself on being on time and putting in an honest days work. These qualities he instilled in his children which they in turn implemented and have now passed down to his grandchildren.
Wayne would always fill the room with laughter and music. He loved playing his guitar with his family gathered around singing their favourite songs.
In his early years Wayne loved jumping on his Harley Davidson with Judy holding on from behind. The warm summer air flowing through their hair and the saddlebags well stocked, in case his mouth got dry.
Later on in his life it was the simple things he loved the most. Spending time playing cards with Judy and tuning into the Jerry Springer Show.
Wayne loved to ask questions. He wanted to know everything about everything, often, to the point of exhaustion. He celebrated his family’s personal victories and always offered words of encouragement when things weren’t quite right.
Wayne would hug you when you walked in the door and hug you before you walked out the door.
Wayne will be forever missed by his wife Judy Carlson; daughters Sherry Carlson, Lisa (Bill) Drazenovich; son Kurt Carlson; brother Ken (Vivian) Carlson; niece Cindy (Art) Illson; nephew Carl (Monica)Carlson; daughter-in-law Sue Carlson; grandchildren Kurtis, Mitchell (Skylar), Brittany (Kyle), Kailey (Jon), Chelsea, Mark, Hannah and Holly and great grandchildren Hudson “Huddy”, Liam and Stella.
