Alan S. Harris was born and raised in Bronx, New York.
He received a Masters Degree in Psychology from NYU and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from City College of NY,
His careers included Entertainment, the Founder and Creator of “12 West” disco in New York City from 1975 to 1981, the Luxury Goods industry of which he was President of the Daniel Hechter Menswear Division, President of Yves Saint Laurent Menswear and President of Calvin Klein’s Children’s Wear and finally, talent management where he was the Founder and CEO of The Alan S. Harris Group which concentrated on career and life management services.
In his free time, he was a strong supporter of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity Communications, career advancement for Women in Technology and the Women’s Bond Club. He was also a fervent supporter of the Women’s Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Alan enjoyed music, art and theatre.
He is survived by his close friends and his canine companion, Toni.
