Alan Sutherland 82, of Oakland Park, FL passed away Feb 12, 2026. Beloved son of the late Arthur and Margaret. Cherished brother of Arthur Sutherland and the late Priscilla Sutherland. Uncle of Laurie Sutherland and the late Amy Sutherland Kimball. He received a BFA in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute. He received his Master's in Public Administration and PHD from NYU. He worked in health care administration for New York State for many years. Then went on to be a Professor at the University of Maryland. He will be missed by many family and friends for his outgoing personality and fun nature. Funeral service will be Wednesday February 25, 2026 10 AM at Broward Burial and Cremation Center. 1801 E Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Burial in New York.
