Alec DiBitetto left us on 4/28/2020 after a short but fierce battle for recovery from a scooter accident. He leaves his loving parents, Rose Scotto of Miller Place and Frank DiBitetto along with his partner Theresa Shields and daughters Samantha and Taylor of Northport, his brother Domenic DiBitetto, Grandparents Joanne DiBitetto (Savino DiBitetto-deceased), Nicholas & Yolanda Scotto (deceased), his beloved Maggie Anderson and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will all miss him dearly.
Alec had a strong interest in fishing while growing up, and was a talented cook. He was known by his friends as the person to call if in need of help, regardless of time or distance and had a large circle of dear friends whom he cherished in his original hometown of Miller Place as well as more recently in South Florida, where he aspired to help others in mental health and recovery treatment.
He was a bright light dimmed far too soon and there will forever be a missing piece of our hearts for having lost him, but his legacy lives on in the donation of his organs to gift life to others as well as the love he has left with all of us. The family will be scheduling a celebration of Alec’s life in New York and in Delray Beach after the quarantine.
