Alma Lillian Hollywood, 94 of Fort Lauderdale, Florida departed this life peacefully at her home on Friday, October 11, 2013. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Harry Hollywood, one former owner of Harry Hollywood Cadillac in Bay Harbor Island, Florida in 1992 and a daughter Dianne in 1975. Lillian was born on September 4, 1919 in Deer Lodge, MT to Stanley and Frances (Gilbert) Mathison. Lillian enjoyed a full life of travel and being socially active. Lillian loved to play bridge and was active in the Coral Ridge and Fort Lauderdale Yacht Club, The Towers Club, Lago Mar and The Freedoms Foundation. Lillian was also member of Church by the Sea. World travelers Lillian and Harry traveled to Brazil, Hungary, Caracas, Scotland, England, Frances and Switzerland and enjoyed many cruises together including a voyage on the Queen Mary to London and a flight back to New York on the Concord. During her lifetime, Lillian resided in Detroit, Michigan, St. Louis, Missouri, Chicago, Illinois and Flint, Michigan. In 1975, Harry and Lillian moved to Florida to retire but Harry opened his Cadillac dealership soon after and Lillian was right thereto support her husband by starring in one of the dealerships commercials that featured her driving a new Cadillac.
Lillian loved to collect antique plates and to grow her own orchids and violets and she was rather fond of big band music. Lillian leaves behind to carry on her legacy her daughter Joyce " Joy " (Wayne E) Sladek, two Grandchildren Dianne (Scott) Hendrix and Wayne J. (Christie) Sladek Sr and five Great Grandchildren, Wayne (Stacie) Sladek, Jr., Scott Hendrix, Jr., Cody Sladek, Danielle Sladek and Shannon Hendrix.
