Ms. Angela Perez (Agustina) died peacefully in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at the age of 72. Angela is survived by her children, Arelis, Roy, Angie, her grandchildren Michael, Biondis, Tiffany, Brittney, Brianna, Brennan, & her siblings.
Angela was born on August 06, 1949, in the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo to Rafael Natera and Ramona Gil.
Angela has always been the pillar of her family, the only one who had the ability to bring the whole family together for Sunday dinners just because (or any other day), the one who showed resiliency and strength in raising three successful children, now adults with children of their own. Leaving her siblings & most of her family members behind in the Dominican Republic to migrate to a different country during her early 20s is an example and a true testament of how brave and courageous she really was.
Angela wanted a better life for herself and once she was settled in New York (specifically Manhattan, upper west side), her mission was to work hard so she could pave the path for her mother & siblings, especially her baby sister & best friend, Rafaela, who joined her years later. Despite the culture shock and language barrier, Angela was able to surpass those challenges and put herself through nursing school from which she gained certification in nursing and even worked in a veteran’s hospital.
Angela was the happiest when she saw how much joy she brought to her family but most gratifying to her was seeing and hearing how we all have found our piece of happiness & success within our own lives. Angela’s strength & resiliency was also seen in her will to constantly battle against her debilitating health issues. She was so selfless that even when she was in physical pain, her first worry was how it will affect her loved ones. Angela will always and forever be our inspiration, our true-life HERO.
A viewing & funeral is scheduled for 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 29th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Angela’s life. The family would like to thank caregivers/hospital staff, etc. for their efforts, care, and dedication.
