She is preceded in death by her parents Clara and Joseph Winiesdorffer of St. Bellaire, Ohio, and her husband of 63 years, Ronald D. Pickens, Sr. of Ft. Lauderdale. She is survived by her four children Ronald D. Pickens, Jr. of Wheeling, West Virginia, Thomas J. Pickens of Katy, Texas, Carol Rife (Pickens) of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Andrew Pickens of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, brother Edward Winiesdorffer of Wheeling,West Virginia along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved deeply and are her legacy.
She will be cremated and interred alongside her husband in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling,West Virginia. A ceremony of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel in what would have been their 70th wedding anniversary. Donations to The Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers are recommended.
