Beverly Cecelia McLean

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Cecelia McLean, age 81, of Tamarac, Florida, who passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on January 1, 1944, in Manchester, Jamaica, West Indies, Beverly McLean lived a full and remarkable life. She was the daughter of Daisy Burrell and grew up in Jamaica, West Indies, where she operated several successful businesses. Beverly and Louis Chin-Loy were married, and together, they built a loving family. She was the devoted mother of Wayne, Tania, Odette, Kerry, Norbert, and Kirk; cherished grandmother of Siddion, Jason, Jonathan, Soraya, Sean, Janelle, Kassidy, Chelsea, Mya, Jade, Aleksandra, Alaijha, Parker, and great-grandmother to Julissa, Jazlyn, and Ariella.

Her family was her greatest joy, and she took pride in supporting and nurturing them through the years. She also had a special bond with her sister Vaughan, brother Orrett, and many friends and other family members. Beverly had a passion for people. She loved to make everyone happy by cooking delicious dishes, enjoying music together, and planting beautiful flowers in the garden for everyone to enjoy. Her genuine love and care for people were contagious.

She was known for her wisdom, a very straight-forward, bubbly and warm personality, her Christ-like kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and genuine love. She had a warm, welcoming spirit that made everyone feel loved and appreciated, and her presence will be deeply missed. Beverly is preceded in death by her mother Daisy, husbands Carlton (McLean) and Louis (Chin-Loy), and her brother Alrick Burrell. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister, brother, sons-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A celebration of Beverly McLean’s life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 5:00pm-9:00pm (Viewing) and Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12pm (Funeral).
