

Guillermo Decker, 90 years old, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, with his family by his side. Born on 12/10/1935 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He joined the Navy at the age of 18. Guillermo married Acacia Arce in 1960. In 1963 he immigrated to Chicago, IL. He was a devoted husband and a loving father to Nadina, and Monica Decker. In 1964, he was joined by his family. In 1968, they had a third daughter, Gisella Maria Decker.
Guillermo was an avid soccer fan. He would take his daughters to watch soccer games in Chicago. In 1981, he moved back to Guayaquil with his wife Acacia and his daughter Gisella. They lived there for 20 years before returning to Florida to retire.
Though dad may have not liked being the centered of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly loved honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone that knew him.
Guillermo is survived by his wife Acacia and his daughters, Nadina, Monica (David Morris), and Gisella. His grandchildren, Fernando Andres Miranda, Jonathan Miranda, Adam Garcia, Angelica Brown, Joshua Miranda, Isaac Miranda, and Isabela Garabedian. His great grandchildren are Nicole Miranda, Aurora Brown, Nathan Miranda, Shelby Garcia, Rigel Brown, Madaline Miranda, Aston Garcia, and Felipe Miranda.
We find comfort in knowing that dad’s legacy lives through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will share forever.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida, 33317, on February 1, 2026, starting at 12:00 pm. with committal service will follow at 3 PM.
