Carlien Evadney Williams
May 18, 1955 – February 13, 2021
Carlien Evadney Williams, age 65, passed away on February 13, 2021 in Miramar, Florida. Carlien Williams is survived by her loving husband, Lansford Williams, of Kingston, Jamaica; son, Andre (Kacy) Williams of Miramar, Florida; grandchildren, Andre Williams Jr and Kaela Williams; mother, Mavis Christie; sisters, Delphene, Alvira, Gwendolyn and Dorothy; brothers, Simon and Winston; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Campbell of Portland, Jamaica.
Carlien was born on May 18, 1955 in Portland, Jamaica, to parents, Thomas Campbell and Mavis Christie. She graduated from Cascade All Age School in Portland and obtained passes in J.S. Certificate Exams. In 1972, she moved to Kingston and accepted a position as a teacher at St. Ceceila Prepatory School, where she worked for more than 20 years.
Carlien was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Lansford Williams in 1979 and the couple had one child together. Carlien was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in her church for the majority of her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving, peaceful, social and happy person.
