

Carlos Colon, 72, passed away suddenly at his residence in Miami, Florida on Thursday, October 31, 2013. He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Juan Colon and Concepcion Rivera. Carlos lived in Puerto Rico until his mid-thirties when he came to Florida. Carlos is survived by his loving wife, Carmen and his children, Wilma, Charlie, Enid, and Jannette.
Carlos was very proud of his family who he cared about deeply. He enjoyed the times they spent together during the holidays and during regular family visits. He worked as a carpenter making furniture most of his life. He started his own business which lasted for about 24 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching old western movies.
Carlos was very proud of his children: Wilma and her husband Alex Tabio; Charlie and his wife Sonia Colon; Enid and her husband Jerry Katharinas; and Jannette and her husband Luis Vigoa. He also loved and enjoyed his grandchildren Lissette and her husband Edgar, Ralphy, Emily, Sean, Gaby, Abigail, Carlitos, Luisin, Gavin, Kristina, and Mia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Homes, 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida where funeral service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Father Robert Caudill officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations will be accepted by Carmen Colon.
