With deep gratitude for her life and faith, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carmen Rosa Hernández, who entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the night of November 30, 2025, at Sunrise Health Center on Nob Hill Road in Sunrise, Florida.
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Carmen devoted her life to her family with unwavering love, tenderness, and faithfulness. She was a devoted and caring mother to her children, nurturing them with deep affection from their early years in Colombia through their adult lives in England and the United States. Alongside her beloved husband, Manuel Hernandez Parra (Paito), she faithfully endured life’s joys and trials, standing together through every season with perseverance and grace.
Carmencita was a cherished grandmother and a dearly loved member of her extended family. She was deeply appreciated by many who share her faith as professing believers and followers of Jesus Christ, a love she held fast to until her final days. Having completed her earthly journey, she now rests in the perfect peace and joy promised to those who love the Lord.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Patricia, Pilar, and Marcela, and her son Gonzalo, along with her grandchildren and extended family.
A Celebration of Life honoring Carmen Rosa Hernández will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at Forest Lawn South Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 2401 Davie Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317.
