CANFIELD, Carol Mae, 65, passed away on December 27, 2018 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Carol was born on December 1, 1953 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to parents, Jasper and Cornelia Quakkelaar. She graduated from Byron Center High School in 1971 and went on to receive her Associates Degree from Aquinas College.
On July 21, 1989 Carol married the love of her life, Thomas Jeffrey Canfield, at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Throughout her working life, Carol enjoyed being a waitress and bartender, but her proudest title was being the best mother and grandmother on the planet.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Jeffrey Canfield; daughter, Cristin Winchel; son, Jamison H. (Wendi) Winchel; grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Maya, Bryson, Logan, Mason and Kolson; siblings, Arn (Norma) Quakkelaar. Roger (Char) Quakkelaar and Joyce (Chuck) Stebleton; sister-in-law, Sandy Quakkelaar; and her 16 week old Boston Terrier, Wallace T.
The family invites you to join them for services at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens South, 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida 33317. A visitation will be held on Saturday. January 12, 2019 from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM with a service at 2:30 PM and committal to follow immediately after.
