Charles was born in Passaic, New Jersey and raised in Nutley, New Jersey. He was the oldest of three children and shared his childhood with his beloved brother, Donald, and his sister, Rosemary.
Charles graduated from the University of Miami in 1957 with a business degree. After graduation, Charles was drafted into the Army and spent two years as an M.P. in Germany. He later attended St. Peter’s College where he studied electrical engineering.
In 1962, on the ski slopes in Vermont, Charles met the love of his life, Gloria. They married that same year on October 20, 1962. Together they shared 64 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, travel and countless memories. In 1967, Charles and Gloria moved to Fort Lauderdale where they raised their children, Nancy, Christopher, Linda and Michael. Many of their childhood friends will remember their dad as their Little League Baseball Coach at Floranada Park.
Charles had an entrepreneurial spirit, which, when coupled with his business and engineering skills, resulted in him founding and operating successful companies: Continental Circuits, a printed circuit-board manufacturer, Components South and V.G. Sales, electronic sales representative companies.
Along the way, Charles and Gloria continued to spend time on the slopes, but now in Colorado with their family. Charles loved spending time with his family. Charles loved boating, especially in the Bahamas, as much as he loved the mountains in Colorado, where he and Gloria enjoyed living part time in Beaver Creek. “Rocky Mountain High Colorado”.

Charles loved sports but mostly loved his football teams, the University of Miami Hurricanes – Go Canes! – and the Miami Dolphins.
