Ry, here I am 5 months later finally able to tell you how much I love you. I never thought the day would come that I would have to live without my best friend, my little cousin. In your years here with me, we were able to bring happiness to each other. I know that you, Nanny and grandma are all smiling down on me. These last few months without you three have been torture for me. I love you Ry!

Ryan, though we never met in person, I knew you. Your mom told me so much about you. She was and still is so proud of you and your accomplishments. She talked about how intelligent you were, living, caring, and her best friend. You may no longer be on this earth but I know you will never leave the minds and hearts of everyone that knew you and knew of you. Your memory will remain forever. Never forgotten and always loved 🙏❤️

We had so many good memories  together from running around as young kids, being teenagers together, and maturing into adults. We were best friends, more like brothers and I miss you man. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. You were such a good person and had such a beautiful soul. I know you’re still with us and holding it down up there with nanny (yours and mine). You impacted so many lives without even trying. Rest easy bro bro. I’ll see you soon!

It was my pleasure to be Ryan's wrestling coach and PE teacher at Hermitage High school.  Watching Ryan's transformation from a skinny freshman into a strong, mature young man to was amazing.  The fact that he chose to enlist in the Coast Guard right after high school speaks to his tremendous character, and with his toughness and determination I had no doubt he would succeed.  I personally will miss his smile and positive energy.

Sadly, Ryan, you have moved onto a better place.  Please know you are loved and missed, and you will never be forgotten.

We had so many conversations about life and our struggles. We always had each other backs, even though we were thousands of miles apart.  We always made time to meet up and live life. One of my favorite memories of you was us in Puerto Rico on the beach talking about our dreams and then we got caught in the rain and hid under a bus stop. You was a beautiful person with a gentle heart. You made friends everywhere you go, and i am proud to say  I was one of them. I will forever miss your hugs while standing on my tippy toes. I will miss your smile every time I tell you jokes. I will miss the winkle on your nose every time you got annoyed. I know you’re in a better place and this isn’t a goodbye but I hate it thinking it is so I rather say  I’ll see you later.

My family and I are so sorry to hear of Ryan's passing. He was a great friend to my son Tyler at Hermitage High School and I really enjoyed our conversations and laughs during wrestling season. Ryan was living his dream in the Coast Guard. I remember seeing him online working in Puerto Rico after the hurricane and I connected with him. He was very proud to be serving our country and I was proud to have been able to see him grow into the man that he had become.  Thank you for a job well done and the example you set. Rest well Ryan.
