Chann was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 5, 1951 to Welmar and Dolores Koenig. She was married to William Wolfe for over 40 years. She lived in South Florida for 30 years before relocating to Georgia upon the birth of her third grandchild. Her life revolved around her family. Chann is survived by her mother: Dolores; her sisters: Darlene and Kathryn; her two children: James and Janice; her grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Billy, and Meghan; and her great-granddaughter: Abigail.
Chann served in the Army and later led a fulfilling career working for the City of Pembroke Pines. Her co-workers were friends and became part of her family. After retiring, she became involved in the American Legion Auxiliary, volunteered within her community, enjoyed Bingo, but mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren.
The love Chann had for her family ran deep. She instilled roots for the love and importance of being together which grew and branched out to everyone around her. Just as branches of a tree grow strong and upwards to the heavens, so too did the love she had for those around her as she moved through life. She valued the relationships she had grown and sought to spread the love everywhere she went.
Her family will remember her for her passion, dedication, and most of all love. Chann was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and cherished every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Gramme and filled the role as grandmother to the very fullest. There was never a ball game, recital, band/chorus concert, or theater production that she did not attend. Weekends and school breaks were often spent with the grandkids playing games, camping, or doing craft projects. There was never a dull moment when it came to her house!
Disney World was her home away from home. She spent countless trips with family and friends spreading her love of Disney magic. She had a special room dedicated to her Disney treasures, each memento holding a special memory from a magical trip filled with laughter and love.
A funeral is scheduled for Sunday August 1, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens South. The ceremony is open for friends and family. All are also welcome to view and celebrate Chann’s life on the website.
