

Christopher grew up in Hollywood, Florida, where he attended Orange Brook Elementary School, Driftwood Middle School, and graduated from McArthur High School. He was an accomplished athlete, playing baseball and football in middle school and football in high school.
Known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skill, Christopher spent many years working on a drag line before building a long career as a heavy equipment mechanic with M & S Heavy Equipment Services Inc. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his dependability.
Christopher was loyal, generous, and always willing to help a friend. His friendships meant a great deal to him, and he valued honesty and camaraderie. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and football, and was a devoted fan of the Florida Gators.
He is survived by his children, Tara Michelle Johnson Wise (Joshua Wise) and Mandi Lee Johnson (Robert Williams); his stepchildren, Katelyn Thompson, Marcus Harrelson, Xavier Harrelson, and Miles Harrelson; and the mother of his children, Bobbie Smith Johnson Thompson.
He was a proud grandfather to Everett Wise, Annie Wise, Maddox Williams, Ellie Wise, and Rowan Thompson.
He is also survived by his wife, Lois Thompson Johnson, and his sisters, Debbie Johnson Livingston and Janet Gruis.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Johnson and Betty Johnson, and his brother, Wesley Johnson.
Christopher will be remembered as a hardworking man with a big heart, a loyal friend, and someone who would do anything for those he cared about. His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held on December 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
