Christopher Alan Parent

Christopher Alan Parent, 49, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Banner Elk, NC, passed peacefully on November 10, 2020 in Broward County, Florida surrounded by his family after a long battle with colon cancer. Son of the late Lawrence E. Parent and surviving mother Carol D. Parent, Christopher was born in Miami, FL, raised in Fort Lauderdale, and spent most of his adult life in Banner Elk, NC where he was a small business entrepreneur, dedicated volunteer firefighter, and highly skilled paramedic. Christopher lived a fearless life saving innumerable lives while raising a family of his own. When he wasn't saving lives, he enjoyed riding his motorcyle through the mountains, exploring craft breweries, attending live music concerts, and traveling the world with his family. After his cancer diagnosis, Christopher moved back to Fort Lauderdale to reconnect with his family. He was preceded in death by his infant son Hayden Parent. He is survived by his son, Christopher Noble Parent, his daughter, Isabella Grace Parent, fiancee, Ameilla Harrisingh, mother, Carol D. Parent, sister, Tracy Parent and half-brother Lawrence E. Parent III. A memorial service will be announced and held in the future in Banner Elk, NC. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in the memory of Christopher Parent to:
