Connie was my annual standardized testing assistant for North Side Elementary. Each year we were required to administer standardized test to every student in the school in compliance with Broward County's testing program. I can't begin to explain how complex the testing program was. In addition to being monitored by the State of Florida, any mistakes could get all test invalidated and the school flagged by the state, which obviously was not an ideal situation to be in. For twenty years Connie and I worked like a hand and glove regarding the stringent process of effectuating a successful testing program. Connie was smart, efficient, thorough, reliable, and complete with regard to every detail of the testing program. With Connie by my side, I along with everyone else at the school, knew that many problems faced by other schools would not be present at North Side.
I would be remiss if I neglected to point out Connie's compassion and generosity towards the children at the school. She was instrumental in collecting and disseminating holiday toys to ALL of the children who attended the school, and I dare not forget to mention her contribution to the food baskets provided to families in need. Connie will truly be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her and love her, and to her family I leave you with this. God needed and angel and knowing Connie, she happily volunteered.

For about 65 years Connie and I have been friends. Through good times and tough times our friendship stood. I will miss my dearest friend. My heart is heavy, but I know she is at peace. She never had a mean bone in her body and was the peacekeeper at all times. God rest her soul and bless her family. Love you Connie...Barbara
