Craig “Bink” Simons passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2022 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Craig spent every day of his 55 years living life to the fullest, leaving a cherished legacy personally and professionally.
Craig was born on March 1, 1967 and raised in Middlebury, Indiana. He is survived by his beloved husband and partner of 14 years, Anderson Santos, his mother Leana and stepfather Bud, his father James Simons, his three brothers (Jeff, Bill, Doug) and three sisters (Jennifer, Sue, Kathy), many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins — as well as the countless friends he treated as family.
Beyond his cherished relationships with family and friends, Craig had several passions including travel, animals, and giving back to his community. His ability to cross religious and cultural barriers while traveling created lasting friendships around the world. Craig had a gift of connecting with people and making everyone feel welcome. Always striving to be the best he could be, Craig enjoyed helping others reach their full potentials and live their best lives – “God, grant us to the power to see ourselves as others see us.”
Together with his husband, Craig enjoyed hosting fundraisers in his beautiful home that benefited local charities. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor his devotion to giving through charitable donations to the Community Foundation of Broward (www.cfbroward.org). Please specify J Rose Fund/Craig Simons in the memo.
A Celebration of life on Saturday, April 16th from 12-1PM on the grounds of History Fort Lauderdale, 231 SW 2nd Avenue 33301.
