Cynthia Thompson Bolliger, age 56 , passed away as a result of a massive heart attack ,on September 5, 2018. Born in New York to Linda and Alfred Brode, on November 19, 1961, she moved with her parents in 1968 to South Florida.
Cynthia is survived by her parents, Linda and Al Brode; Her husband and best friend, Ed Bolliger; one daughter, Lori Ann Thompson Long, and husband Steven of
Winston-Salem, NC; 2 sons, James and Joe Thompson of Coral Springs, FL.; 2 sisters Melissa Hamilton, of Coral Springs, FL and Belinda Kupfner of Loxahatchee, FL. A brother, Eric Brode of Lake Worth, FL.; Uncle Arthur Brode; Brothers-in-law, Cecil Kupfner, Tony Hamilton, Eugene Bolliger; Sister-in-law Pat Cancialla; Sons-in-law: Ede Bolliger, Tim Bolliger. Daughters-in-law, Annie Bolliger and Kelly Bolliger; 2 Nieces: Melinda Brode, Tara Sims; 2 Nephews: Andrew Hamilton and Ricky Sims; 5 Grandchildren: Savana, Riley, Reef , Trevor and Aria.
Cynthia attended Boca Raton Christian (Bibletown) School, graduated in 1979. Then attended University of Florida. During her school years, she helped her parents in their restaurant, The Pickle Barrel in Deerfield Beach, FL. and in other ventures. She began working at Florida Sealcoat, aka, Star-Seal of Florida in March, 1990. She worked very hard and was elected President of the firm in December, 2005, upon her father’s retirement. She has served on the board of STAR for approximately 6 years. Mrs. Bolliger introduced international marketing to the firm, brought new products on line, like thermo plastic and manufacturing spray equipment. Along those lines, she spruced up the firm’s internet presence.
She married Ed Bolliger on March 3, 2007 and has been happily married. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and their home in the Florida Keys.
She will be sorely missed by her family and her many friends and business associates.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Father Bob Caudill of All Saints Catholic Mission, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309 will officiate.
