

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, October 1st, 2022 with Pastor Darrell Owens of Christ the Rock Community Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
Cynthia was born in Washington DC to Eduard Powhatan Bumbrey and Marjorie Louise Quesenberry Bumbrey on April 28th 1950. She went to school in Washington DC. She married Dudley Wedderburn on September 9th, 1988 in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Washington Technical Institute. She worked as a Registered Nurse at DC General Hospital along with several South Florida Hospitals including Parkway Regional Medical Center for many years. She was involved in serving many different organizations – Brothers Imitating Christ, Russel Educational Foundation, Dolphin Special Teams, Angels from Heaven, Dragonfly Darlings, Autism Speaks, numerous Golf Tournaments, Samaritans Purse, 211 Broward Organization, Dolphin Cancer Challenge, Miami Dolphins Foundation, Catch 81 Foundation, Lifenet. She volunteered as a teacher for 1st to 3rd grade Sunday School at Christ the Rock Community Church, for over 15 years.
Cynthia is preceded in death by Father Eduard Bumbrey, Mother Marjorie Bumbrey, Brother Edward Bumbrey Jr.
Cynthia is survived by Husband Dudley Wedderburn, Son Kenneth E.G. Wedderburn, Brother Michael J. Bumbrey, Niece Shantelle Taylor and her husband, Stacey Taylor, Great Niece/Nephew Chloe and Jared, Nieces Nina Ann Bumbrey Thompson, Nsenga Bumbrey Callaway and Brittney Singleton. Goddaughter's Robyn Boatwright -Thomas and Alice Thomas. Along with a host of relatives in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.
The family is truly thankful for the outpouring of support they have received.
A memorial service for Cynthia will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Christ The Rock Community Church, 11000 Stirling Road, Cooper City, FL 33328. A repast will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Reception Hall 6530 W. State Road 84, Davie, FL 33317from 12:30pm - 2:30pm.
