Cynthia, I miss you. You were so kind and special. I never regretted meeting you that day at the entrance to Parkway Hospital. What a blessing it was to Cafronia and I for you to become the Children's godmother.  You became family, as well as a life-long friend. Continue to rest in the arms of the Master.

Missing you my friend, roaming thru airport in turkey last week feeling a little lonely thinking you would have made that experience wonderful as you had many times before.

Our late Cynthia, while she was here with us, exhibited the true pattern of the way a Child of God lives.  She gave her time, love & gift. As a Child of God we are God's workmanship created in Christ Lord Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us.  We had the privilege to serve with her for Angels of Heaven.  Our sincere condolences to the family.

I remember Cynthia as we worked at Broadspire. She was a Beautiful person to know. As colleagues she would always be supportive and share great words of wisdom.My deepest sympathy to the family and friends as you move on. Cynthia and I met at Holiday Inn Hotel in Jamaica where she was a guest, and I was a staff member.    She would visit the hotel 5 to 6 times per year and thus the Holiday Inn was considered her second home.  She would let me know each time that she was planning to be at the hotel and so before each and every trip, I would ensure that I set up her room with all new items, such as linen, that were not previously used. We fast became friends, and our relationship blossomed into one where we called each other Sister and I was introduced to her friends as her sister.

We later took turns in visiting each other in Florida and Jamaica.   She took me to places such as Disney.  She loved to travel and explore, even taking me to places in Jamaica, my own country, where I have never been.  She would choose the dates of her tours to coincide with my day off.  Once, the hotel offered her to have breakfast with any member of staff of her choice.  She chose me.  She was so well known at the hotel that she was welcomed with cake and a little party at one point.   

She was a sister, a friend, and everything to me; as the saying goes “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”  The last time we met was in 2019 in Ocho Rios when the cruise ship she was on had a stopover.  She was kind-hearted and cared for everyone even if she had not met them.  She just needed to hear about people in need and she would see to it that the need was taken care of.  At Christmas, she would make boxes of gifts to send to orphans and would also send items to Jamaica for schools and Churches.  

We continued to have regular conversations while she was in the hospital, but when I did not hear from her, I called and was told that she was in the ICU.  My plans to visit her in 2020 were delayed because of the pandemic and I now must face the hard reality that I will never see my sister in the flesh again.

So, Sister, sleep on angel.  You will be missed but your memories will live on forever in my heart.

I was sad to hear of Cynthia's passing.  My deepest and sincere condolences to the Wedderburn family.  Former collogue, Cynthia and I we worked at Kemper/Broadspire for many years.  Through those years, you bond and talk about many aspects of your life which takes me to her dedication and involvement in the many organizations, especially autism, which was her passion.  Her many trips to Disney, where I concluded that she's was a shareholder or have ownership in the company :)  I admire her dedication to her church and giving back.  
May your sole rest in peace and we will meet in the house of the lord one day.

I first met Cynthia when she walked into Kenny’s kindergarten class. I was the teacher. This was the start of a relationship that has spanned decades. Cynthia was always willing to share her knowledge at the monthly parents’ group. She volunteered to go with me to other groups I facilitated and co presented. She was always willing to help others. Later Kenny became a student and an employee at Sheridan Technical College. I attended the fund raising nights and there was Kenny along with Dudley and Cynthia. Always, generously donating things for the auction like a signed football from a Miami Dolphin. For years we had a monthly dinner with a few moms, their now adult children( who met in Kenny’s kindergarten class) and a few staff members. This group shared stories and life events. Cynthia was a loving and dedicated parent. She had an infectious 
smile and a big heart. When she smiled at you, she enveloped you in it. Cynthia will always be in my heart. Kenny and Dudley, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cynthia was more than a colleague and friend.... she was a sister to me. Despite our different backgrounds, cultures and race, she and I could discuss anything together with a mutual respect for each other's values. While we did not always agree, especially about religion, it didn't stop her from trying to make me a believer, and I was always happy to let her say a prayer for me when she insisted I need prayer :).   I was always amazed at her faith, her ability to put others first always, and especially her role as mentor and mother to her son, Kenny.  Somehow, Cynthia always found the  way to resolve any problem for herself, her family and anyone who came to her for help, without judgment.  I lived vicariously through her many cruises and endless trips to Disney and was lucky enough to share a girl's wekend at Epcot with Cynthia, Melanie and Karen , where we had Cynthia as our personal tour guide. I can only imagine the meeting 
she has scheduled with Walt to let him know what improvements are needed on the Disney properties and cruises.  Rest in Peace, Cynthia.  I will miss you every day. With love, admiration and respect.

Our last time together at the FLA Live Arena for a Florida Panthers hockey game.

Cynthia Wedderburn was a friend and colleague whom I knew and worked with for many years, at Broadspire and for a short time Dane Street. She was an amazing soul with a big personality and smile. She had a witty personality and refreshingly direct approach which meant you always knew where you stood with her. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have known her know how very much she will be missed, the world was truly a better place with her in it. I haven't seen her for a while though still vividly remember her love for all things Disney, seemingly having endless Disney Vacation Points, which we would always talk about the benefits and the many adventurous she would have, especially when with her family. Cynthia was a terrific mother and cared deeply for her amazing son Kenny, who shared the same big smile Cynthia had.  When you needed something done you knew you could count on her, she would lead several charity events and was very active in her church. I remember when we would participate in the annual charity walk and seeing it grow bigger and bigger each year, going from a small walk with just a few hundred people to a major event at a big university campus with thousands walking, Cynthia leading the way!  She will surely be missed though the memories she helped create will live on forever. You will be missed forever and always. My memories of Cynthia are that of a lovely person with a heart of gold and a very generous spirit. Her smile lit up any room. She was a genuine soul who was always very gracious and kind. It's been a few years since we were in touch, but I will always cherish the beautiful person that she was. May her soul rest in eternal peace .
