Dana Pauline Leedy, 79, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away on May 22, 2022. Dana was born in Fishing Creek, Maryland on October 19, 1942 to Ulman and Novella Lewis. She attended Dorchester Senior High School.
Dana was a savvy entrepreneur and business owner. She started her company, Country Fresh Cleaning Services, over twenty-five years ago and employed numerous staff. Her many clients included the Archdiocese of Washington, DC. She retired to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2020. One of her favorite things to do was to relax on her sons porch with her four legged best friend Lucy and enjoy the Florida sunshine.
Dana is survived by her son, Steven Abbott, and sisters Cecilia Kelly, Gretha Montgomery, and Thelma Hastings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Ulman and Novella Lewis, sister Esther Stanley, and son-in-law Richard Barrick.
Dana will be laid to rest in Charlottesville, VA. Per her request, there will be no memorial service. Donations may be made in her memory to the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA at https://caspca.org/give/in-honor-ofmemorial-gifts.
