David Andrew Gaddis Sr.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Deanne Gaddis, of 27 years; his Children, Drew and Virginia Gaddis, Amanda and Nicholas Ochoa, David Gaddis Jr., Dustin Gaddis, Alanna Gaddis, and Mary Beth Willingham; his grandchildren, Amanda’s children, Reya Gaddis and Atlas Ochoa; his Father, Herbert Gaddis; and his brothers, Thomas Gaddis, and Phillip Gaddis. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Una Gaddis; and his child David Daniel Gaddis.

Dave was born on July 21, 1960 in Newport, Rhode Island, to parents Herbert and Una Gaddis. He graduated from Chariho High School in 1978. He moved up and down the coast for ten years, and in 1988, he moved to Fort Lauderdale to stay.

Dave was a great family man and a loving father. He married Deanne in 1993 and the couple had five children together.

Dave was a social, active man who was deeply involved in music for the majority of his life. He enjoyed sports, playing guitar, and “jogging” in the heat of the day. His family and friends will always remember him as a funny and gregarious person, father, and friend.

The celebration of Dave’s life is scheduled for 4:00 PM on June 18, 2021, at First Christian Church of Fort Lauderdale, 201 SE 13 ST, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, with a light reception to follow. Collins Forman will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dave Gaddis’ life. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences, prayers, food, and support.
