Deborah S Simpson Kropat

Deborah Simpson Kropat was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania on February 25, 1949 the daughter of Eugene “Hap” and Mildred Simpson. She moved to Florida in 1965 where she remained until she passed away on October 6, 2013 surrounded by family and loved ones. She married the love of her life, Alfred Max Kropat in 1977 and they enjoyed many wonderful years together until his passing on June 29, 2010.

Deborah, known by many as “Debbie,” “DJ,” and “Momason” loved life. She loved her family and friends and she showed it everyday. She had a contagious smile and a beautiful personality. To her there was no such thing as a stranger. Even if you had just met her she made you feel as if you had known her for years. There was nothing she would not do for a friend and regardless of what was going on in her life she would put a smile on her face and make you feel loved. She made anything fun and could make you laugh even when you did not feel like laughing. She gave the best hugs and those who have ever had a hug from her would always come back for more! She always put other people first and was a very nurturing person. All these qualities helped to make her an awesome mother who taught her children the meaning of family. She loved playing cards and games and if you were ever over to visit you know this could go on into the wee hours of the night with unlimited laughter. She enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her husband and the Der Krieger motorcycle club to which he belonged. She met many wonderful people while riding with this club who she loved and are considered family to this day. She became a founding member and vice president of Forever Sisters, a club centered around having a great time with friends and she did just that! She had many great times with her sisters and loved them dearly. Although Debbie had a hard battle this past year, she fought it valiantly and smiled up until her last moments. The last words she said to her family and friends when she was able was “I love you.”

She is survived by her brother David Simpson, brother Thomas Simpson and sister-in-law Leslie Simpson, sister-in-law Hildegarde Buta, brother-in-law Carol Buta, her children Cindy & Robert Ryan, Robert & Kristin Graham, Donna & Robert Bowe, Susie & Patrick McGee, Margaret Casares and Larry Kropat; as well as 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
