Delvin was a great guy and a great Marine. We both shared many days and nights on post during ITX, talking about the most random and funny things to kill time. I even used to bring him snacks from the chowhall to his post in Bahrain and I would stop and talk with him for a while.  Till Valhalla brother you will be missed!

Delvin Omier was one of the most genuine people I’ve met during my time in the Marine Corps. Delvin was the type of guy to ask you how you’ve been or how your day was. He genuinely cared about the people around him. You will be sincerely missed.  Until Valhalla and Semper Fi brother. 

I met Sgt Delvin Omier in 29 Palms, CA after his deployment. I was new to the Supply section and he took me under his wing to teach me everything he could. He was an amazing leader and was always striving to teach someone something. He will definitely be missed Til Valhalla and I will see you on the other side. 

I met Delvin when we both were in 29 Pams,CA. He was always a real nice guy that was easy to talk to. My most memorable conversation was when we were discussing Drake. At the time I did not like him whatsoever. But Delvin told me that I shouldn’t shut him out. After a couple of years I got around to listening to his music and I ended up enjoying some of his music, and I always thought about what Delvin told me. You are gone way too soon brother.

I met you on a matting project and we were both boots at the time. Just gotten to the fleet, both hungry to be known. I remember field ops, nights out on the town, talking about life and nothing but love every time I encountered you.. I’d rather listen to him cry than write this. I’ll miss you brother, Till Valhalla

I had the pleasure of serving under Delvin Omier while we were deployed together in Bahrain. I often recall the many intellectual conversations we had while we were on security duty together for a period of about 7 months. I learned a lot from him and developed into a better person because of his tutelage. Delvin was a great leader and truly cared about those under him. I miss you my friend; gone but not forgotten!

I met Sgt Omier in 29 Palms when we were stationed at MWSS 374 together. He was always respectful, kind and willing to help with things that came up especially when I was a new guy trying to learn the system there. The more you got to know him the more you got to see how intelligent and introspective he was about everything . We had many interesting conversations about life my friend. Wish we could’ve had more. my boy, you hit home with this one. You were always strong minded and just an overall great individual. We met right before Bahrain, and been brothers since. You are going to be missed bro. I hope you resting peacefully 💯🙏🏾

Me and Delvin became good friends through the Marine Corps. He always kept my head on a swivel and gave me positive insight when I was down. My best memory with him was experiencing snow for the first time out in Germany. The Marine Corps is small, and even then, you only keep in contact with a few after it’s all over. Delvin was one of them. He will truly be missed. Love you bro!

Omier was one of the most smartest guys I got to the pleasure to serve with in the Marine Corps. Even better I got to deploy over seas with. The amount of knowledge he had was amazing. He was one of my favorite mentors and I would not be as successful out of the Marines if it wasn't for some of the advice he had always given me. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We were roommate oversea. You always talked about how much you loved and missed your family. You’re truly an amazing person, my brother gone but never forgotten. 

3rd LAAD 2nd Platoon. We love you and will always have you in our hearts. You were a friend, a brother, and great man to us. Rest in paradise, Delvin.
