Don Nevile Bolton

Don lived a life marked by complexity, determination, deep feeling, and an unmistakable concern for others. Although his own journey was not always an easy one, he possessed a remarkable capacity to reach beyond his personal struggles and offer comfort, understanding, and hope to those around him.

Those who know Don will remember his heartfelt presence and compassionate nature. He listened attentively and without judgment. He offered thoughtful advice, empathy, encouragement, and sincere guidance to friends, acquaintances, coworkers, and even those he had only recently met. He had a way of making people feel heard and understood, and many found reassurance in his words and in the genuine concern he showed for their lives.

Intelligent, knowledgeable, and naturally insightful, Don had an earnest desire to counsel others, help them find solutions, and guide them toward hope and resolution. He was also independent and strong-willed. He approached life according to his own convictions and often followed the course he believed was right, even when those who loved him wished that he might choose a different path. Yet through every difficulty, his love for his family remained real and deeply felt, just as their love for him remained steadfast and unconditional.

The contrast between the wisdom he so generously offered others and the challenges he faced in directing his own life is among the most heartbreaking parts of his loss. Those closest to him will forever remember not only the roads he traveled, but also the tremendous intelligence, compassion, promise, and intrinsic goodness he carried within him.

Don is survived by his loving mother and father, and brother; his wife, from whom he was separated but with whom he shared an enduring bond; his grandmothers; his aunts and uncles; his cousins; and an extended circle of relatives and loved ones. He is also mourned by his many friends, their families, acquaintances, and work associates, all of whom will remember his kindness, his encouragement, his thoughtful counsel, and the compassionate spirit he brought into their lives.

His family and friends will miss him more deeply than words can express. His absence is felt not only in the moments they shared with him, but also in all the hopes, plans, celebrations, and possibilities they believed they would experience together. It is heartbreaking to know that he will not be physically present to witness those dreams come to fruition.

Yet those who love him believe that he will remain beside them in spirit—encouraging them, inspiring them, and perhaps even becoming a catalyst for accomplishing the hopes and dreams they once imagined sharing with him.

Don will be remembered not solely for the difficulties he encountered, but for the love he gave, the lives he touched, the wisdom he shared, and the compassion that remained at the center of his being. His presence will be profoundly missed, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
