Doris Chapman

Doris Chapman, 85 of Lauderdale Lakes Florida, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at University Hospital. She lost her battle to cancer. Doris, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her children and family.

She leaves her five children; Sharon Mills, Carolyn Wendy Chapman, Gary Chapman, Jodi Chapman and Timothy Horne. She is also survived by her sister Vivian Boyd-Washington and her brother Grady Mack, nine grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Doris was predeceased by her son Bruce Chapman.

Born in Newark, New Jersey September 30, 1928, where she and her family were pillars in the community, until she relocated to Birdsboro, Pennsylvania for 20 years, before deciding to return to New Jersey. Finally, decided to leave the cold winters of the Northeast by moving to Sunrise, Florida.

A private memorial service is being held on August 23, 2014 for family and friends at Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308.
