Hey Dora,
I know life is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness. With that said, there is not a day that goes by your aren't miss. Whether it be in thought, spirit or physical emotion from everyone that cares for your dearly. You being the unique charismatic, caring and daring person I know one of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood. I must say you and I seeing eye to eye was a battle of whitts lol which only we knew the true beauty of our bond. Both having acknowledge a friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself. I am still at shock of your passing over to a better place as I know you deserved more time to be here surrounded by those of us whom adore and care for you with the utmost respect. Dora l can still remember the smile and joy that you fill a room with your presence. I do believe that if haven't learnt about sadness, you cannot appreciate happiness, which is something you were always full in expression. I for one am not a friend of goodbye, so I say to you "see you around" and hope your looking down on those that enjoyed your pressence as much as me.

I still see your face in my head from 9th/10th grade when we used to par so hard people thought we were together. You were so fun to be around that people didn't get it. In class you sat in front of me and you always randomly turned around and smiled for no reason. I get it now. You were a great person with a great personality so I know you received a first class ticket to heaven because you were truly an angel on earth. You have done your job to enlighten many around you but impacted even more lives, including myself. Thank you for the great memories and god bless you. I send my greatest condolences to the Allen family.

Remember the day we met? It was while working at Forever 21 in 2010. You started up a conversation with me and we talked about going out to have some fun. From that day on, we were inseparable. We sat for hours talking about our issues and dreams of becoming successful. We had the same views on a lot of things...I guess that's why we clicked. And remember all the times we partied? Lol, just thinking about all those nights we stayed out. Everyone that saw us always wondered why we were so close but it was because of our loyalty to each other. You always went out your way for me in so many ways. It kind of scared me to be honest. I never had anyone that showed me the real meaning of being a friend. Somewhere in our friendship we became distant and I moved away but it tore me to pieces to hear that you passed. I was upset that I didn't know about you being sick and that I didn't get a chance to tell you goodbye. But it's not about me, it's about you. And I know you wouldn't have wanted me to feel sorry for you. You always were a tough cookie. But Dorothy, I love you. I hope you see the sincerity in my heart because it was hard for me to express it at times. See you again someday my dear.

Today i saw your smile in a complete stranger, i felt the warmth of your heart from the sky above me. I remembered your goofy jokes as a random ''wrong number'' person accidently texted me something that was something silly you'd say. so many pieces of you have been stuck in my thoughts. i've got so many questions that will go unanswered...so many things i'll never understand. losing you so soon is one of them. people come in and out of our lives for a reason...some...we will never understand what place they had...you made me smile when nothing else could....and that's something i'll always carry in my heart. if i could rewind and live my life any different. it would resemble yours...just because you lived eachday like we should all live everyday...with smiles and laughter. i've grown a better understanding of why i should appreciate everyone i come across...because you may not ever share that moment again. It may be too soon...but it's not forever...until then my friend...

Doraaaaaa!!!!!...You are one of the most beautiful, smart, loving, funny, hard working & independent woman I have ever met...from the first time you talked to me I knew that I liked you...You always made me feel special by checking on me all the time, asking me if I was ok & if I did have a problem you always listened to me & made me feel better about the situation...One thing I will never forget about you is the annoying nickname you gave me..."Sugarfoot!!" Lol...Every time you see or talk to me the first thing that comes out of your mouth is "My Sugarfoot!!"...I remember customers in the store laughing at me when you called me that..Lol..I'm going to miss telling you to stop calling me that, talking to you every week & laughing & joking with you...As much as I want you back & it breaks my heart I'm glad you aren't suffering anymore...Hands down one of the strongest women I've ever met & definitely one of the best friends I've ever had...I love you Dora & I'll always miss you.

Dora I can hear you now saying to everyone "Don't cry for my passing away, Celebrate the life that I had with memories and stories that make you laugh"
You touched the hearts of everyone you met with your smile and big heart, you will be missed by all, but we all have the stories and memories to keep remembering you. I will always remember you calling me to the register or coming up to me at adidas saying "Monica you can tell me and I won't tell anyone that I am your favorite. Or don't lye you know I am your favorite and all of the other talks we had about what you wanted out of life.
You are truly being missed but I know that you are in a better place. Rest in Peace DORA!

Man where do I even begin? I remember the first day I met you at Adidas. You were so dang loud asking me where I was from. Once you found out I was also from Fort Lauderdale it was all downhill from there lol. You were such a great person and was always there when I needed someone to talk to. I loved the fact that you always kept it real and never sugarcoated anything. Even when I didn't want to hear the truth you gave it to me raw and uncut. You had such a big heart and an even bigger smile. We had an awkward relationship that no one understood but it was ours and it worked for us. I don't have many people I actually consider friends but you were a real one. I always admired you for your courage and though you were ill you never let it show. You were so strong and even when I wanted to cry you wouldn't allow me to. I'm going to miss that crazy laugh and all of your random outburst. When I'm listening to my Lauderdale music I'm going to make sure I play it loud just for you! I already miss you so much but I'm happy you don't have to suffer any longer. You made a huge impact on my life and so many others. I know you wasn't with us long but it was all in God's plan. RIP Dora the explorer I'll love you always

Dora you were such an amazing person! You lit up the room with your infectious laugh! It's so unreal to think that you're gone and not be able to say goodbye! Last time I saw you, you looked so happy and healthy with your famous smile on your face. That's how we will all remember you.

Dorothy was the type of person you can bring her around anybody and she ll befriend as her own. She loved my niece and nephews and I know one day she would have been a Great mother. We fought from time to time but we made up because we were like sisters. We weren't going anywhere. I loved her as my baby sister and I will never forget all the memories we have shared together. We will meet again. Love you Doro. Thank you for being the Go-Getter of the family. Thank you for being the kind person you were. And thank you when things got hard you were brave enough to keep us going. Making us laugh having us smiling. Thank you. Thank you for fighting till the end. Love you Doro!!!!
