Einar W. Strom Jr.

Einar Strom, born in 1928 in Cambridge, MA. and grew up in the suburbs of Boston. He graduated the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1949 and began working as a Merchant Seaman. In 1955 he entered active military service with the US Navy during the war rising to the rank of Lieutenant. After the war Einar returned to US Merchant Marines and served as a Captain on various cargo ships traveling throughout the world until his retirement.

Einar and his wife Clara (d. 2008) were longtime residents of Imperial Point, Ft Lauderdale. At the time of his death Einar was living at Meridian at the Waterways assisted living residence.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 20th, from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 N. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale 33308. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday Nov. 21st, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1500 S State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
