She was born on June 11, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to Herman and Josephine McCormack Goetz. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Goetz. Survivors include her niece, Eileen Mulkey; nephews Robert Goetz and John Goetz, cousins Barbara (Don) Stevens, Terry (Jim) Ritchie and Joan Barnes. She will be greatly missed by her great nieces, nephews and many Air Force nurses.
Betty had the best caregivers over the last 4 years; Doreen Magen and Brandy Smith, who are greatly appreciated and loved by the family. Betty earned two Masters Degrees; Hospital Administration and Nursing where upon her retirement in 1973 from the Air Force she immediately put that education and skill back to the community by volunteering at the local hospital. Her interest consisted of cruising with her family /friends, water color and oil painting on canvas, her beloved dogs and the Casino!

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 at the Kraeer - Fairchild Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Elizabeth's funeral service will commence on Thursday morning, May 30, 2019 at 10:00 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4595 Bayview Drive, Fort Lauderdale, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
