Elizabeth Anne McGinn

Betty was born October 10, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Rosenberry and a sister to Donald Rosenberry (deceased), Judy Erlandson (Tom), and Thomas Rosenberry.

Betty was a devoted wife to her husband Frank for 49 years before his passing in 2010. She was a loving mother to her children Theresa, Mary and her husband Frank McCarthy, and Michael and his wife Tara as well as granddaughters Megan, Ashlyn and Caitlin McGinn, Shannon Boals and her husband Lane, Maya Pesek and her husband Matt, and great-grandchildren Vivian and Isaac Pesek. Betty was a special aunt and dear friend to many.

Betty graduated from Butler University and taught at Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis.

She and Frank were married in 1961 and moved to Lighthouse Point, Florida to build a family and lifelong friendships. Betty enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, spending time outdoors, and caring for animals of all kinds. She had a gentle and welcoming smile, a wonderful sense of humor, and a special gift to make others feel cherished. Betty’s Catholic faith was a constant source of strength and guidance, and her positive attitude and unwavering love for family were the hallmarks of a life well lived.

Betty’s family will welcome friends to a Funeral Mass to be held Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:30 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church 901 NE 2nd St, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery on the Campus of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana.
