January 12, 1942 - February 22, 2022
"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At your right hand are pleasures forevermore." -- Psalm 16:11
Our beloved, Elizabeth Ann Wills Parke, Graduated to Heaven on February 22nd, 2022. Born on January 12th, 1942, to Dorcas E. (Madsen) Wills and J. (John) William Wills, in a rural community in Philadelphia. She was raised in a devout Christian family. For over 35 years, her family owned Wills Group Advertising Company in Philadelphia, before moving to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Elizabeth, a natural beauty, grew up loving to draw, creating colorful art, along with riding horses and playing out in nature, surrounded by gorgeous landscapes with her two brothers, John W. Wills, Jr. and Peter M. Wills. With great love for her family, Elizabeth loved telling her many friends about her family including her son, Daniel C. Parke, his wife, Jamie C. Parke, their children, Gabriel, Zachery and Jordan, along with three nieces, Jennifer, Melissa and Kristen, great nephew, Jack, on the Wills side of the family.
A true animal lover, Elizabeth had an amazing gift with both animals and people; making friends wherever she went. She loved her Sunday afternoon lunches with a group of girlfriends after church services. Elizabeth cherished long talks and spending time, including going out for lunches and dinners, with her best friend, Aly, and spending time with many other close friends; often attending dinner parties full of fun and laughter. A talented, hysterically-funny and witty person, Elizabeth was also the life of every gathering who brought smiles and clever, one-liner hilarity to all around her.
Utilizing her gift to sing, Elizabeth enjoyed performing in stellar concerts entitled, "Ft. Lauderdale Christmas Pageant" depicting the birth of the Lord Jesus and presenting the Gospel Message, at First Baptist Fort Lauderdale. The pageantry often included live animals, gifted soloists, and stunning scenes, a new production with excellent choral arrangements every Christmas season.
With a great love for music, Elizabeth felt honored to have been part of bringing joy to the many thousands who attended the multiple night performances and matinees; offering her makeup skills for the cast prior to each performance. One of the great honors of Elizabeth's life was knowing so many were inviting their families and friends, as part of their Christmas tradition, to enjoy the spectacular pageants each year.
Elizabeth spent part of her professional career at Christian Radio Station WAGF-FM, founded by Pastor D. James Kennedy. With an entrepreneurial heart, she built a prosperous “Critter Sitter” pet-sitting business with numerous repeat customers and added becoming a favorite and often-requested, Senior In-home Caregiver, for many years.
A strong, tough and determined person, Elizabeth will always be known for her big, loving heart. We will always remember her doing many kind and loving acts for others, with thoughtful gift-giving and sacrificial generosity. How we all love her!
We will all miss, Elizabeth W. Parke. What a reunion it will be when we are all together again, in the Lord's Beautiful Heaven, for all eternity.
We know that Elizabeth will be there to greet us at the gates, shining with glory and flashing that incredible smile.
Elizabeth's favorite Scripture Verse:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." -- Philippians 4:13
“Celebration of Life” gatherings will be planned and held in small groups by Family and Friends in homes and at special dinners in her honor.
