

Emilio Altavilla Age 62 died of natural causes on January 26th, 2020 in his Hollywood, Florida home. Emilio is survived by his mother, Teresa Altavilla and his brother, Larry Alavilla and his children, Kristina Altavilla and her husband, Roderick Green with daughter, Aubrey Altavilla. Antonia Altavilla and her son Christian Altavilla. Daniel Altavilla and Noah Altavilla, with Larry’s wife Lissette Hernandez.
Emilio is also survived by his three stepchildren Scott, Colton and Christopher Meahl along with Colton’s wife Sofia and their son Hunter.
Emilio was a great father. Emilio was born in Naples, Italy on December 23rd, 1957. He graduated from Miramar Highschool in 1975 and spent 4 years in the US Air Force along with 33 years as a US Postal Service Letter Carrier.
Emilio loved his family and friends dearly and suffered with a broken heart after the passing of his great love, Robin. Emilio was a fan of South Florida sports team especially the Miami Dolphins of which he was a season ticketholder for many years. Emilio enjoyed fishing and motorcycles, cars and boats.
His family and friends will always remember his generosity, benevolence and kindness. So many knew him as the neighborhood Mailman with a wonderful personality but also will be missed as a true friend to so many for decades.
A visitation for Emilio will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33317. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33317. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33317. Flowers and Gifts can be sent to Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Emilio will be dearly missed.
