

Emily Marshall Narup 96, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 peacefully at her daughter’s home in St. Augustine surrounded by family under the care of Hospice. She was born in Stuart, Florida on September 25, 1915 to the late Arthur Marshall and Margaret Sellers, and was third generation Floridian. She married her late husband John Fred Narup in West Palm Beach, soon moving to Miami where she and her husband later started and operated for many years Narup Engraving Company. Upon her husbands death she moved to Ft. Lauderdale to be near her children. Emily was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son Fred Ronald and her brothers John, Arthur and William and sisters Margaret Johnson and Mary McGloin. She is survived by daughters Kathleen (Dan) Pfaff, Dianne (Richard) Calvert and Emily (Kenneth) Safko, daughter-in-law Mavis Narup, twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her many friends. Emily’s devotion to and love of family was demonstrated time and again by family holiday gatherings and many years of Marshall family reunions attended by multiple generations of her extended family from around our
country. Her love of life and of those around her remained until the end and was returned many times over by family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 S.W. 64th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Community Hospice of N.E. Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257, or the charity of your choice.
