August 1, 1937 – July 14, 2021
Freddie George Parker, the third child of Allan and Violet Parker, was born on August 1, 1937 in the District of Hampshire, St. Catherine, Jamaica WI.
Freddie’s educational journey began at Mount Hermon Primary School and Mount Hermon Baptist Church where he became very interested in Theology. This interest led him to migrate to London, England, where he met and married his love, Daphne (Blossom) and where their first child (Richard) was born.
Freddie and his family later migrated to the USA and settled in Mount Vernon, NY, where his daughter Tiffany was born and where he immersed himself in community service and church affairs at the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Always the empathetic listener, he would not hesitate to lend a helping hand to members of the community, family and friends.
This is also where he continued his quest for higher education, earning a B.S. degree in Business Management and a M.S. degree in Education, all while working as an Assistant Branch Manager for “The Peoples Westchester Bank" in Ossining, New York.
In 1988, the family relocated to Miramar, FL. In his search to find a church home, he found and attended the Cosmopolitan Baptist Church. He settled here, served this community and later became a Deacon.
On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the age of 83, Freddie closed his eyes to this world and went home to his Heavenly Father. Leaving his beloved Wife: Daphne, Son: Richard, Daughter: Tiffany, Grandson: Myles, three Brothers, two Sisters, Nieces, Nephews and a host of other relatives to cherish his memory.
Freddie’s final days can be compared to St. Paul’s in
2 Timothy 4:7-8
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day and not to me only, but onto all of them also that love his appearing.”
May his Soul Rest In Peace.
