Dr. George John "Jack" O'Shea will be laid to rest on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery which is located at 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale FL 33068. There will be a service at 11am in the chapel at the cemetery followed by his burial with military honors alongside his parents, B. Gen. George and Joan M. O'Shea.

As a recent High School graduate in 1968 Dr O'Shea hired me to be his receptionist/dental assistant.  He taught me everything I needed to know about running his office. (there wasn't a typewriter, all billing was written by hand) The added benefit was learning about the horses at the track.  Our day started with the daily scratches off the radio and preparing his newspaper with the same.  If the day was in his favor, I would change the afternoon patients so he could pay a visit to the track.  He even bought me a book on how to win at the track and in other ventures.  Much to his dismay I was only 18 and couldn't place his bets for him on a busy day.  I fondly remember my time in with him and am very happy to hear that he has reached the fullness of life.  Blessings and prayers to his family. PS He was a wonderful dentist.

George was a wonderful client of mine with a big heart. He expressed his dedication for serving our country with pride as a U.S. Marine and did not regret it one bit. I will truly miss him.
