

George is survived by his wife, Alexandra Parra, of Boca Raton, FL; his mother, Encarnación Sanchez Jaraba, of Hollywood, FL; and his sister, Maria Gattuso, of Mt Kisco, NY. He is also survived by his three sons and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Sanchez of Mt. Sinai, NY and his brother, Benjamin Sanchez of Hollywood, FL.
George was born on May 25th, 1964 in New York City, New York to parents Benjamin Sanchez and Encarnación Sanchez Jaraba. He graduated from Hofstra University in New York with a degree in Political Science. In 2001, he moved to Florida.
In August 2013, he met his wife Alex, who was the love of his life. They were married on January 14, 2016. In his lifetime, George was never shy to seek joy from his adrenaline-charged activities, such as motorcycle riding, high speed car racing, flying small airplanes and boating.
George loved the Jets, Latin music, classic rock and Spanish music. And was involved in social and church activities.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday on June 9th, 2021, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY at 1 pm in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery chapel. Those that wish to follow the procession can meet at OB Davis at 4839 Nesconset Hwy in Port Jefferson Station at noon (the procession will leave at 12:15). After the burial at Holy Sepulchre, a gathering will follow at Carnival Restaurant on Nesconset Hwy in Port Jefferson Station. Family and friends are welcome to join us for a meal to celebrate George’s life. The family would like to thank all of those who have sent their love, prayers and heart-felt condolences.
