Gerald Eugene Bordas, Born December 24, 1984, Age 36, passed away in a tragic car accident on June 11, 2021 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Gerald was raised in Pompano Beach, Florida and resided in Frostproof, Florida. A man of many trades and passions, Gerald was the man anyone could count on. He was the man who would stop on the side of the road for a stranger and the one to jump in his truck to help a loved one in need. Gerald had infectious humor that could pull anyone out of pain.

He was loyal and a rock for anyone to whom he loved. Gerald had a rough exterior that often intimidated others and a beard he vowed to never cut again; but on the inside, he was gentle, inquisitive, a kind. Gerald's intelligence and strong-will allowed him to break through many obstacles and challenges in life that would have broke others.

Gerald is survived by his mother, Catherine Bordas; sister, Kristine Bordas; beloved niece, Kali Armstrong; Fiance, Nicole Fothergill; son's, Colby Bordas (2) and Colton Bordas (5); step-daughter's, Chloe and Caidyn Raulerson; Fur-Puppy, Xena; and a strong tribe of close friends who were more like family.

Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bordas. Gerald strived every day to provide his son's the same life he loved with his own father until his death on May 4, 2009.

Gerald will truly be missed.

When Gerald Eugene Bordas walked into the room, those in his company felt energy, an enthusiastic spontaneity. This was just one example of who Gerald was and how he impacted those around him. Gerald was a clever and gregarious person who always sought out the finest attributes in other people. It was as if Gerald wanted to share all of their experiences, revel in their lives and celebrate their discoveries & accomplishments. Gerald was tireless and had boundless enthusiasm that would serve him well throughout his life.

He was the son of Catherine & Jerry Bordas; raised in Pompano Beach, Florida. Always at the ready with a good joke, he grew up to be quite a humorous person. While some who knew Gerald might describe him as an idealist, his friends and family understood well that Gerald was always in pursuit of life’s endless possibilities and opportunities available to him.

Gerald was raised with one younger sister, Kristine Bordas. Gerald was very accepting and supportive of his family. He dreamed of a life where he and his family could reside close to his mother, sister, and niece, Kali in a serene and fresh location to continue reliving out his happiest of childhood memories shared with Kristine. Whenever discord or tension arose, Gerald was typically the member who brought about resolution and served as a protector. These traits served Gerald well in his adult life and, along with his wit, outgoing personality, and understanding of others, drew the admiration of many who knew him.

With a talent for making acquaintances easily which in turn brought him an endless stream of friends, Gerald was very sociable and could blend without effort into any social group.
