Brown, Grace Ward, 93, of Fort Lauderdale, formerly of New Hyde Park, NY passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2014. A graduate of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Maplehurst and Packard Business School in New York City. Following this she worked in the advertising firms of BBDO and Spadea, and as a sketch model for fashion illustrator Jean Spadea. Grace’s family always came first, followed by many years of community volunteer service. She was active in The Rosary Society, CDC and literacy classes, Nassau Hospital, and The Women’s Club of St. Pius X. Grace was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, George Brown. Grace will be missed by all who knew her, especially her beloved children: John Brown, Grace Englund, and Pat Gratton. She was blessed to have six precious grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
