She is survived by her adoring family; four children, Frank, Carla, Anthony & Robert; seven grandchildren, Richie, Nikki, Alexandra, Juliana, Neil, Cory and Sandee; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Macrini; and daughter, Stellina.
Grazzietta was born in Pescara, Italy and leaves behind a rich legacy of her Italian heritage to her family. She was an incredible cook, creating dishes memorable not only for their delicious taste but for the love and care she poured into everything she made. She was known for her homemade red sauce, pasta, holiday cookies and her Easter dessert. All were welcome in her kitchen and she happily shared her recipes and techniques with other family members, though the magic she possessed is not easily replicated.
She was a devoutly religious woman, grateful for all of God’s blessings. She prayed for all her family, all those she met and shared her beliefs widely and lovingly. A detail-oriented, diligent and incredibly capable woman, she was a hard worker and successful in all her endeavors. She loved to hear stories about what all of her children, grand-children and great-grand-children were up to, and she laughed often. Even in her last days, when her hearing was incomplete, she would have a story repeated until she understood, and she never missed a punch line. In her final years, she was well cared for by Frank, Martha and Anthony. The family is very thankful for their support. Her family and friends will always remember her for her love of God, her warmth and her capability. She is deeply missed.
A funeral is scheduled for 11am on Monday, February 10th at Forest Lawn South in Davie with a gathering to follow at Fernando & Cory’s house at 10830 NW 36th Street in Sunrise. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Grazzietta’s life.
