Harold was born in Jamaica West Indies to the late Josiah and Imogene Williams. As the pioneer in the family, Harold was the first to migrate from Kingston, Jamaica to Miami, Florida in 1955 and later encouraged his family and friends to join him in the States. In 1970, Harold met and married Hermine Lawrence. From that union, a beautiful daughter Hope was born. Harold and Hermine were married for forty-four (44) years and during that time they provided a wonderful foundation for Hope.
Harold was a proud man who enjoyed showcasing his culinary skills and his well-manicured lawn. After working many years in the hospitality industry, Harold retired and devoted time to his family, more specifically, his grandchildren. Harold was an avid sports fan; win or lose, he could often be found at home watching a Marlins, Miami Dolphins or Florida Gator game.
Neighbors and friends knew him to be a serious man who also enjoyed telling funny stories to friends and family. Destined to be with his wife again, Harold departed this life on November 29, 2017. Harold will truly be missed by friends and family.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Hermine and his five siblings: Ledford, Jonathan, Clarissa, Edgbert, and Lesford. Harold is survived by his daughter, Hope (Lerenzo), grandsons Myles Matthew and Christian Alexander. He also leaves behind a host of dear family and friends.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. II Corinthians 5:1
