

On June 27, 2025, we felt a heavy silence when Haughton “Wally” Choute left us at the age of 47. It’s hard to put into words just how much he’s missed; his absence has left a big hole in the hearts of his family and everyone who had the chance to know his amazing spirit.
Haughton was born on August 4th, 1977, in the town of Port-da-Paix, Haiti. He was the beloved son of Walter Choute and the late Avilane Eugene.
From a young age, he just had this amazing vibe that lit up every room he walked into. His connection with everyone was something special—a warm mix of love and fun. He even
had these cute nicknames for his kid’s, sibling’s, cousin’s, and niece’s and nephew ‘s that really showed how he expressed his love.
He departs, leaving behind his estranged wife, Jinita Saint Jean. A devoted father, he took great pride in his three beloved children: Crenston, Kysun, and Walyana Choute. Additionally, he played a vital role in the lives of his two beautiful stepdaughters, Brianna and Jinisha Thelus, nurturing them with love and care. Family was the very essence of Wally's life, and he found boundless joy in celebrating the milestones of his children's journeys, which stood as the brightest highlights of his existence. Each of his children held a special place in his heart, as he cherished their unique qualities and the vibrant personalities that made them who they are.
Wally was a man whose heart was interconnected with the bonds of family. He leaves behind a cherished circle of siblings: Walnie, Rose Guirlene, Velma, Thelma, Waltson, Julnie Choute, Caroline Josma, Jino Marc, Philip Octavien, Steve Ali Hunt, Nikitha Lafrance, Naze, and Clacius Clecidor. Each one held a special place in his heart, and together they formed a tapestry of love and support. Wally's legacy also includes a multitude of beloved nieces and nephews, each of whom filled his life with immeasurable joy and pride.
Among those carrying forward his memory are Aunt Marie Claude Eugene and Aunt Glayzie Clecidor, along with a network of uncles: Noel Meralien, Oslin Pierre, Wilner Nicolas, and Limonas Clecidor.
He is further remembered by his brothers-in-law, Gerson Josma and Michele Noel, as well as a host of cousins: Elda, Kinsey, Masline, Marvin, Emmanise, and Julien Clecidor. The family circle extends to Mrs. Pastor Marc, Pastor Idmann Jeanelus, Jeritha Dubreus, Sonia Pierre, Markenson Caseau, and many more, all of whom embody the warmth and vibrancy that Wally cherished throughout his life.
In a world where true friendship knows no boundaries, Wally was surrounded by an extraordinary crew of loyal friends who stood unwaveringly by his side through thick and thin. Among them was his best friend, Marcus Saintilaire, a man of unwavering loyalty. When Wally fell ill, Marcus didn’t hesitate—he left everything behind and relocated to Las Vegas, determined to be a steadfast presence for his friend. Although they were not related by blood, the connection they shared went far beyond the bounds of friendship.; it embodied a brotherhood that remained unbreakable, enduring right through to the very end of Wally’s life.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Wally will forever cherish his knack for cheesy jokes. He had a unique ability to make himself laugh; a contagious joy that made it nearly impossible for anyone nearby to resist joining in. His passion for travel, music, and lively gatherings created an inviting atmosphere that drew everyone closer. Wally embraced life on his own terms, radiating happiness, humor, and love wherever he went.
Wally will always be remembered by his children, family, friends, and co-workers whose lives he impacted in so many ways. His legacy will live on as a symbol of strength, determination, and the deep love he had for everyone close to him.
