

Hazel is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Chen; sister, Norma DeSouza; daughter, Romina, Michele and Nicki; son, Andrae; grandchildren, Ramon, Christopher, Jillian, Brandon, Michelle, Daniel, Sylvia and Nichole; and great-grandchildren, Monique, Nicholas, Christian, Gracie and Riley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vivian Chin; sister, Ena DeSouza; and sons, Conrad Anthony and Don Antonio.
Hazel was born on September 30, 1929 in Kingston, Jamaica to parents Gladys and Cecil Chin. She graduated from Broward College in 1982 with a degree in Nursing. She last worked as a Registered Nurse at Bennett Hospital, where she worked for more than 25 years and retired at the age of 66.
Hazel was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Kenneth Aston Chen and the couple raised six children together. She was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in her church and family activities for the majority of her life. Hazel enjoyed reading, sewing and reading more. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving and caring person.
