She spent her early years in Montego Bay, Jamaica and as a young woman she emigrated to New York in the 1940’s. She was employed as a dental hygienist throughout her working years. Like most immigrants she worked hard to achieve the American dream and was a loyal employee.
She enjoyed sewing as a hobby and was adept at creating beautiful items. After her retirement she relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1997.
Hazel was blessed with a long life and will be especially remembered for her sense of humor and her calm demeanor.
She is survived by her only child, Richard; grandchildren: Samantha, Richard Jr. and Jennifer; sisters: Hermine (Sybil), Olive and Thelma as well as several nieces and nephews.
Rest in peace our beloved.
