Play Tribute Movie

Hector Suro was born January 7, 1941 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to Juana Reyes and Anibal Suro. Preceded in death by his parents, his sister Cruz Lydia Garcia, and his daughter Carmen Suro. He leaves behind his brother, Genaro; wife, Nereida; son, Hector; daughter-in-law, Debbie; daughter Marisol; son-in-law, Moises; grandchildren, Derek, Ethan, Isabella, Nyleen and great-grandson Geovanni.

It’s impossible to capture the essence of Hector Suro in a few short paragraphs. He loved life and loved his family and friends. He fought through any adversities with so much strength and passion. Hector made such a deep connection with his family and friends. He meant so much to everyone, especially the younger generation who respected and valued his love and strength; they all were his grandchildren! He made every member of his family feel loved and special and didn’t hold back on his feelings and beliefs.

In spite the many obstacles he faced, he never lost his sense of humor. He devotedly supported his family members in their passions, attending countless baseball and softball games and recitals. Hector loved music and sports; especially his salsa and his Jets and Yankees. Hector and his son shared these two passions. He blessed and inspired us with his boundless strength, quick wit, laughter, gracious hospitality, impeccable honesty, fierce determination, startling frankness and listening ear. He was a lifeline for many during their biggest struggles in life—a true husband, friend, son, brother, dad, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. His wife, family, and friends were his life. Yet Pop often felt unworthy of the accolades and appreciation that people showered on him. Hector Suro is a one of a kind who will be missed deeply. A visitation for Hector will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33317. A memorial service will occur Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33317.

Viejito!!!!
Te vamos a extrañar.

Abuelo!! You have accepted us as your family ever since mommy and daddy moved to Florida. You were the only one they had here, they bought a home next to yours.. Then, I came along and you accepted me as a granddaughter, you have always showed me love like a grandfather to a granddaughter should be. If we were sick you would make us your famous chicken noodle call us and we run over to eat..The day of my hip surgery you were there for me, and on top of me to follow doctors orders, etc... TILL THIS DAY I HAVE ALWAYS CONSIDERED YOU MY GRANDFATHER AND WILL ALWAYS CALL YOU ABUELO!! Rest in peace abuelo!! Its not good bye its see you later 🙏🏻..

Love Always and Forever,

Milicely Adorno and Maricely (great granddaughter)

A great picture that was taken just a month ago of my dad and uncle! He was so shocked when my dad suprised him, I will never forget the look on his face when he saw my dad. He was such a great man loveable, welcoming, and always willing to help everyone! Hector the Lord has called you home may you Rest In Peace and know that you will always be loved and never forgotten.

Love always,

I have many memories of Hector all of which were good. Growing up was fun when we were around him, he was always laughing, sitting in his special chair watching his shows, or his favorite football team. He called me “Dutchess” and I can hear him saying it now. Marisol and Junior, my heart goes out to you and the family. I pray the Lord will comfort you all and give you strength to get through this. God bless!

He has only been gone a short while but wow do I miss him already. So stubborn and very opinonated lol!! But he would take the shirt off his back for you!
I'm 47 years old but I still had to call him when I got home!! I love you papi and I know I will see you again! Such a brave warrior. Huge Jets fan no matter how the game ended; football Sundays will never be the same. What I would do to dance one more salsa song with you. Love you so much, Mari
