Jared Martin McCoy

Jared M. McCoy, 30 of Davie, Florida was entered into rest on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Jared lost his battle with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy after almost 31 years. During his lifetime he was able to overcome all the obstacles many said he couldn't. Jared's family was told he would only survive until the age of 16, but with his perseverance and refusal to accept the word "no", Jared's lifetime far exceeded the timeline that any doctor would place on his life. We are grateful for the many lessons Jared has left behind, lessons that taught all of us to appreciate life and all the wonderful and not so wonderful things it's may encompass. Jared fought a long and difficult battle with his own body but even with all of his limitations, to him his life was limitless.

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 and a memorial service to directly follow at 3:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South in Davie, Florida. Immediately after the memorial service Jared's family would like to extend an invitation to their home for the celebration of what would have been Jared's 31st birthday. We will toast to Jared at 6:27pm, the time of his passing.

Jared will truly be missed.
