

She was born on March 16, 1933 in Worcester, MA to parents Charles and Mildred Henegan and older brother Robert Henegan (pre-deceased).
After graduating from college in Worcester Jean went on to become a school teacher in Long Island, NY and then back to her home state of Massachusetts.
In 1960 Jean met the love of her life, Anthony Barrasso while working a summer job on Cape Cod. They soon wed and settled in Brockton, MA where she welcomed the birth of her first child, son Darren Richard , Barrasso (pre-deceased) followed by her second child, daughter Dareece Barrasso Rudd.
Jean moved to Sea Ranch Lakes, Fl with her family in 1970 where she lived and met her closest friends which were so important to her til her final days. She loved to play tennis and was on the team at Coral Ridge CC for many years.
She always focused on her children and was the foundation of our family through and through. Nothing was more important to Jean than family and spending time with her grandchildren, Jacob, Riley and Reece. Jean was an amazing Italian cook and loved bringing family and friends together for her famous lasagna and sauce.
Jean loved her dogs over the years, Rudolph “Rudy”, Milly and Lilly and spoiled them like she did everyone else. She will be deeply missed.
Jean is survived by her daughter Dareece Rudd and son-in-law Michael Rudd along with her three grandchildren Jacob Barrasso, Riley Rudd, Reece Rudd and other loving relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4:00 - 7:00 at the Kraeer - Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Jean's funeral service will commence at 1:00 on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Assumption Catholic Church, 2001 S. Ocean Blvd, Lauderdale by the Sea, FL, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will take place at the convenience of the family in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
