Maurice AKA Maître Maurice, AKA Moy is survived by his spouse Marie Ruth Frederique, his loving children, Lucette, Roodley, Andy and Rivaldy and his grandchildren, Lailah, Mark, and Alex. He’s also survived by his younger sisters Venese and Ines and many nephews and nieces.
He was born on July 29, 1939, in Jeremie, Haiti to parents Almedor and Veronique Frederique. He graduated high school from Lycee Nord Alexis in Jeremie and went on to pursue a law degree in Port-au-Prince. He started his professional career teaching at Frere Salesien but quickly realized he also had a passion for business and investments. He founded his first company in rue Rue du Centre, Haiti and the rest is history.
Maurice was a great family man, loving father, teacher and mentor. He was social, active and was deeply involved in mentoring and helping others for the majority of his life. He enjoyed the farming life, music, dancing, nature, reading, and life in general. He shared a deep love for his country and tried his best to contribute to the well-being of his fellow Haitians.
A funeral is scheduled for February 29th, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Davie with a reception to be held on the premises. Pastor Pierre Jean-Francois will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Frederique’s life.
